We plan networks made for the environment in workshop halls: cabling and switches robust enough for dust, metal chips and temperature fluctuations, Wi-Fi access points placed where metal shelves and machines would otherwise swallow the signal. The goal is that the connection to the machine control or the ERP system does not drop exactly when a delivery has to go out.
For businesses with several locations in the districts, for example headquarters and a hall in another district, we set up secure connections between the sites so that data and printers are equally reachable everywhere.
For the server itself we value a backup strategy that really works in an emergency: a server outage in production quickly costs a whole shift day, not just an inconvenient afternoon.
