Frequently asked questions about web hosting
Answers to the most common questions from our customers.
What is included in the web hosting package at solutioIT?
+
All packages include SSD web space, free SSL certificates and PHP/MySQL. Domains continue to run with your current domain provider and are connected to the hosting by us.
Do I need a domain from solutioIT?
+
No. You can keep your existing domain with your provider (e.g. Strato, IONOS, united-domains). We only connect it to our hosting via DNS, you keep full control.
Do you offer e-mail mailboxes?
+
No. We deliberately focus on server hosting & SSL. For e-mail we recommend specialised providers such as mailbox.org, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, which we are happy to set up on request.
How long is the contract term?
+
All web hosting packages can be cancelled monthly, no long commitments, no hidden costs.
Where is my data hosted?
+
All servers are in German data centres and operated in a GDPR-compliant way. Your data does not leave Germany.
Can I upgrade to a larger package later?
+
Of course, an upgrade is possible at any time without data loss. We take care of the seamless switch.
