With hospitality and retail at the Alter Flecken in particular an IT outage is noticed immediately at the till; with a full shop there is no time for it. As part of ongoing maintenance we regularly check whether updates, backups and the internet connection are fine before it becomes a problem at the weekend.
With the mechanical engineering businesses in the districts we deliberately schedule maintenance work outside production times so an update does not run exactly during manufacturing. If something does fail, we prioritise fault resolution instead of referring to a regular appointment.
Because in Freudenberg tourism-shaped businesses and manufacturing firms exist side by side, we adapt the maintenance routine to the respective industry; a café needs different priorities than a production hall.
