The historic half-timbered houses in the Alter Flecken often have very thick walls that strongly dampen normal Wi-Fi signal, a problem many restaurateurs and shop owners underestimate when guests ask for guest Wi-Fi or the till system is to be connected wirelessly. With suitably placed access points and, if needed, repeaters, stable coverage can be achieved even in such buildings.
In the districts of Büschergrund and Oberholzklau, by contrast, it is about completely different networks: stable, secured infrastructure for metal and mechanical engineering businesses where an outage in production directly causes costs. We separate production and office networks, set up servers locally or as a cloud solution and ensure regular backups of production and order data.
What links both worlds is that before implementation we first check the conditions on site; a half-timbered house on the market square needs different network planning than a modern production hall.
