Neunkirchen is a municipality in the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein, in the Heller valley ("Freier Grund") south of Siegen. The municipality includes, among others, the districts Salchendorf, Struthütten and Wiederstein; until 1969 all districts were independent municipalities. On the border with Herdorf lies the Hohenseelbachskopf, an extinct volcano.
